Welcome to the Dietitians Australia 2024 Conference

Date: Sunday 18 August - Tuesday 20 August 2024

Location: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

On behalf of the DA2024 Working Group, I am thrilled to invite you to join us in Brisbane (Meeanjin) on the traditional lands of the Turrbal and Jagera people for the 2024 Dietitians Australia Conference.

We are developing an exciting conference program targeting a broad scope of Dietetic practice which captures the conference theme and sub-themes, which include Breaking BarriersInnovate, Advocate and Launch.

With the rapid advancement of technology, the ever-increasing population combined with health, societal and environmental issues brings new challenges to the modern world. As such, our conference program will challenge delegates to break down existing and perceived practice barriers, be innovative and advocate for the role of Dietetic services in the promotion of health and wellbeing of people, groups and communities.

Our speakers and topics will cover a broad range of practice interests ranging from women’s health, healthy ageing, health at every size, personalized nutrition, artificial intelligence and much more! This year, we are also offering a brand new type of abstract submission (Practice Innovations) and we have freshened up some of our traditional submission types.

Our conference program will be complemented by an exciting social program with a sensational conference dinner planned at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre which promises to be a fun and entertaining evening with friends and colleagues.

Known for its magnificent climate year-round, the stunning location of Southbank in South Brisbane is the ideal venue for the Dietitians Australia 2024 conference. Be prepared to innovate, advocate and launch into the future.

We look forward to seeing you this August in Brisbane!!

Yours sincerely

Dr Anthony Villani

DA2024 Working Group Chair
